Frost Chapel

Frost Chapel, built with help from Mr. Ford
Upon its knoll in Berry College vast
Now people seldom go to praise the Lord
Got other things to do and live so fast

Frost Chapel — we played tag and hide and seek
(but kids then), and we played some duck, duck, goose —
Still stands for those wh’approach the altar meek
Still stands amid the pine and stately spruce

Pine tree in front of Frost Chapel

November nears its end. Leaves falling – All.
They form a crunchy carpet ‘neath my feet
The winter will be sprouting soon from fall
The birds already croon its somber beat
I walked inside, the chapel with to chat
I think we were the better, both, for that.
