Anatomy of a Conversation (2010)

December 8, 2012 § Leave a comment

Tap your thigh
A smile that doesn’t
Reach your eyes
On your face
How can it be
A moment ago we
Were talking peacefully?
Hear what I don’t
mean to say
A crafty way
Of making me
not want to say
What I feel
‘Cause it’ll be
Unsure if your
words are meant
for bad or good
A sigh and huff
That’s quite enough
Go and cool off
But can’t sit still
How long until
We learn to act our age?
