Sonnet: 12/03/2012 (Goodbye, cruel world)
December 8, 2012 § 1 Comment
Goodbye, cruel World, O salty spring from which
I draw all of my splendor, vice and kitsch
And friv’lous Life, goodbye to you as well
Go back where’er you came from, which is.. Tell
if you have thought and if there be a reason
You’re clinging onto fruit though it’s in season?
Behoove me, would it not, the call to hearken
Before the night grows dim and middays darken?
I’m starting me a new life like I’d dreamed –
I said it and my soul instantly beamed –
Pursuing who I am and who I’ll be
and walking through this life contentedly.
The cruel world, I’ll put it back behind
my heart, my soul, my body, and my mind.
